IRC（Internet Relay Chat）是一种基于Internet的通信协议，中文一般称为互联网中继聊天。它是由芬兰人Jarkko Oikarinen于1988年首创的一种网络聊天协议。经过十年的发展，目前世界上有超过60个国家提供了IRC的服务。在人气最旺的EFnet上，您可以看到上万的使用者在同一时间使用IRC。<br />

1.打开 [账户]->[管理账户]->[添加]<br />

用户名：填你的用户名（不可以用汉字）<br />

点选高级选项卡字符编码填：UTF-8<br />
再选代理选项卡代理类型选：无代理<br />
保存之后，会自动登录<br />

注册账户<br />
登录到服务器之后，你要看看你的用户名是不是你设定的用户名，如果是的话，就可以进行注册了，如果不是的话，就表明你所设的用户名同其他人冲突，需要修改你的用户名，具体命令如下：<br />

更改昵称的基本方法是："/n(ick) 新昵称" 好像命令都能简写的<br />
/nick 新的用户名<br />
在弹出的对话输入框中输入<br />

提示 如下 ，那表明这个用户名你可以注册<br />
(11时15分03秒) NickServ: (notice) evan886 is not a registered nickname.<br />
/msg NickServ REGISTER 你的密码 你的电子邮件地址<br />

/msg NickServ REGISTER 你的密码 evan886@gmail.com<br />
之后你在邮箱会收到来自donotreply@freenode.net的确认邮件，复制邮件里的命令到irc对话框中执行，即可。<br />
之所以不用输入用户名是因为你的用户名已经设定好了。<br />

If the Libera.Chat network exists in the list, then click on Edit and skip ahead to step 5<br />
If it does not yet exist in the list, click Add and type Libera.Chat, then hit enter and click on Edit<br />
Replace the string newserver/6667 with irc.libera.chat/+6697 把 newserver/6667 替换为irc.libera.chat/+6697<br />
In the User name field, enter your primary nick<br />
Select SASL (username + password) for the Login method field<br />
In the Password field, enter your NickServ password<br />
<br />
If you are unable to edit the User name field, the change can be made in the User Information section on the Network List window.<br />

If everything was configured correctly, you should see a SASL authentication successful message when you connect. You will already be identified to NickServ, so you don’t need to do this again.<br />
